Transport of tank containers

Gastronomy: Unloading and indoor delivery of four tank containers

“In München steht ein Hofbräuhaus” is a German song famous across the globe, and the Hofbräuhaus is one of the gastronomic world's most famous addresses in Germany. Every year, thousands of guests come here from all over the world to visit events and enjoy Bavarian beer. Catering for so many guests requires a fair amount of technical equipment. SCHOLPP received the contract to assist in the transport of new tank containers.

The agenda included the unloading and indoor delivery of four new tank containers into the cellars of the historical inn. With a 12,000-liter storage capacity and measuring five meters in length by two meters in diameter, transporting these tank containers required a great deal of skill. The space for maneuvering was very tight: a narrow entry point on the building, a drop down into the cellar and lateral transport through narrow and low passageways. Of all the service providers asked, the project-management team in Stuttgart was the only one to found a technical solution for transportation.

The tank containers, weighing 1.5–2 metric tons, had to be handled with the appropriate level of precision. Extensive experience in container transport, a highly maneuverable telescopic forklift and a powerful TG 120 lifting gantry formed the trio that successfully completed this order. All four tank containers were brought in and positioned at the final location within five days.
