The management team at the heart of the SCHOLPP Services Group.

Steffen Kühn was born in Treuenbrietzen, Germany, in 1967. After training as a machinery and systems installer, he studied mechanical engineering at the Dresden and Chemnitz Universities of Technology, with a focus on manufacturing. After working as a sales engineer for the British BRIDON Group, Kühn joined SCHOLPP Montagetechnik GmbH in 1993 in the same role. He took over the management of the company in 1998. The highlights of his career with SCHOLPP so far include developing the new divisions Lift Engineering and Cleanroom Move-In. He has continued to develop the Chemnitz site while also establishing new branches in Dresden, Berlin, Erfurt, Rostock, and Leipzig. He became Managing Director of SCHOLPP Montagetechnik GmbH in 2006 and assumed responsibility for eight business units from his main office at the Chemnitz site. In early 2010, Kühn was also appointed Managing Director of SCHOLPP Montage GmbH. In 2011, he was responsible for integrating the installation department of the insolvent Grohmann GmbH into SCHOLPP Montagetechnik, followed in 2014 by the heavy installation department of F.W. Neukirch in Bremen, and Nordhorn-based techno system GmbH and techno services GmbH in 2015.

Lars Gerlach was born in Kassel, Germany, in 1969. He studied business administration in Marburg and Giessen, and was awarded his degree in 1997. He joined SCHOLPP that same year as Assistant to the Managing Partner. In 1999, he set up the company’s central purchasing/insurance/legal/financing department and subsequently took over as Head of Accounting and Controlling. In 2003, IT and payroll were added to his responsibilities, and he was appointed Commercial Director of the SCHOLPP Group. In 2005, he became Managing Director of SCHOLPP Kran & Transport GmbH, while still retaining his commercial directorship for the entire Group. Gerlach joined the SCHOLPP Montage GmbH management board in early 2010.

Ralf Hofmann was born in Darmstadt, Germany, in 1966. After completing his degree in electrical engineering at Munich Technical University, he embarked on another course of study in the same subject at Sussex University in Brighton (UK), graduating in 1995. Hofmann then became a project engineer at 3M, which was followed by a stint as a project manager at the Barcelona branch of KUKA Schweissanlagen GmbH (a company specialising in welding equipment). He was responsible for handling major projects there from 1999 to 2005. During this time, he also gained an MBA from the Barcelona IESE School of Business. Since 2005, Ralf Hofmann has worked for SCHOLPP, where he is in charge of projects associated with the forming industry, as well as the mechanical engineering sector in Spain and neighbouring countries, especially France and Morocco. In addition, he oversees international relocation projects, whereby technical equipment is dismantled in one country and reassembled in another. In 2016, Ralf Hofmann was appointed as Managing Director of SCHOLPP Italy.
