Industrial relocation services
Special requirements for planning and engineering, assembly and logistics
An industrial relocation service faces a company with particularly large dimensions of the machines to be transported, technically demanding assembly work and complex logistical planning and implementation. Specialized service providers for industrial relocation services have the experience, technical know-how and human resources to meet these requirements professionally and on schedule.
Specialized industrial service providers support industrial relocations
Removing of machines and systems during industrial relocation services requires special knowledge of relocation and transport logistics as well as the use of suitable lifting technology and heavy transport vehicles. SCHOLPP combines these skills for industrial relocation services in one company. We have been carrying out complete relocations for many industrial sectors for more than six decades: the automotive industry, electrical industry, semiconductor industry, plastics industry, mechanical engineering, medical technology, pharmaceutical industry and many others.
Organization and engineering: planning equipment and manpower
If production facilities, production lines or machine parks are to be moved to a new industrial location, this project must be planned highly detailed. SCHOLPP's project managers and engineers analyze the conditions on site - at the dismantling as well as at the reassembly site - and prepare technical feasibility studies, schedules and logistics concepts. These planning documents are discussed and coordinated with the client of the industrial move so that all services required for the execution of the move are carried out on schedule:
• On-site inspection and analysis with project managers and engineers
• Documentation of the schedule condition of the machines before the industrial move
• Creation of a detailed catalog of measures
• Coordination of the scheduling with the customer and partners involved
• Technical planning of the execution of all dismantling and reassembly activities
• Planning of modifications at the industrial relocation destination
• Transport and route planning for road, rail, water or air routes
• Legally compliant handling of formalities for insurance and customs
• Technically professional machine and production plant assembly
• Installation and testing of electrical systems
• Risk assessment and safety concept for the entire industrial move
• Reassembly and functional testing of machines and systems
• Support for the customer in restarting operations
Professional and documented dismantling of production plant and machines
SCHOLPP's industrial fitters have special qualifications for dismantling industrial systems and machines. We build together the teams for each industrial relocation job based on their experience and expertise. This guarantees our customers that all mechanical and electronic functions of systems and machines remain undamaged during dismantling. By documenting the systems configuration, the geometry of the machine parks and the interlinking of the production lines, reassembly after an industrial relocation is successful 1:1.
Large, bulky, heavy: no problem with the right relocation equipment
Complex industrial systems, long production lines and heavy machines - this is exactly the daily business of a service provider specializing in industrial relocations. SCHOLPP moves extremely heavy and oversized machines with the help of special lifting gantries, industrial cranes, forklifts, air cushion technology and heavy-duty chassis.
The assembly of high-tech machines requires skilled hands
In the manufacturing industry, increasingly complex machines with sensitive technology and digital controls are being used. If these systems are relocated during an industrial relocation, high sensitivity is required. Before the move, the SCHOLPP fitters dismantle the machines into transportable components. Our relocation supervisors, machine technicians, fitters, electricians and rigger ensure that all mechanical, electronic, pneumatic and hydraulic requirements of the manufacturers and operators are met.
Successful industrial relocation services means: everything works, and on time
If all machines and systems are positioned at the new location in the industrial hall, all production lines have been professionally reassembled, and all media connections have been made, then the functional testing and commissioning of the machines or industrial systems can begin together with the customer.
Reference project for industrial relocation services
Industrial relocation services for Volkswagen: relocation of the Bentley body shop with several production lines in just four months
For Volkswagen Sachsen GmbH, the SCHOLPP team relocated a complete body shop from the VW plant in Bratislava in Slovakia to the VW plant in Mosel in Germany. Within just four months, as part of a major industrial move, the bodywork of the premium model Bentley Bentayga was dismantled by SCHOLPP, transported, reassembled and put into operation at the new destination.
The industrial relocation included several production lines: construction 1 and 2 of the body shell, construction 3 of the body shell, the side panels inside and outside, the assembly of the front and rear doors, the assembly and laser systems for individual parts, doors and side panels. The total dimensions of the individual assembly lines were 150 x 8 meters. The individual components had maximum weights of up to 20 tons and maximum dimensions of up to 3 meters.
The special features of this industrial relocation became clear even in the planning phase. The high complexity of the production systems required that the cooperation of various trades and partner companies had to be coordinated. Many work steps were faced with a tight schedule of four months for dismantling, transport and reassembly. In addition, this industrial relocation project was to begin during ongoing series production. All of these factors made it necessary to work in two shifts. Read more...

11 steps to a industrial relocation: Successful machine relocations and machine installation
Company moves often involve removing of a large production facility, several production lines or even an entire medium-sized company. Well thought-out planning down to the last detail and professional implementation of the relocation project are crucial for success. These 11 steps apply to a industrial relocation:
Step 1: Planning the industrial move - professional preparation
Step2: Dismantling and documenting the machines - on-site working power
Step 3: Transporting the production facilities - the journey begins
Step 4: Move-in of all machine parts at the new company location
Step 5: Fine assembly of the machines - precision work for professionals
Step 6: Installing the system electronics - the machine comes back to life
Step 7: Commissioning production - restart in the new industrial plant
Step 8: Service - technical support throughout the entire life cycle
Step 9: Automation of production - a good timing
Step 10: Service and maintenance - use the company move to maintain value
Step 11: Security through inspection and certification
Tip: Hire a general contractor for a company move. The relocation of large production facilities or the relocation of entire medium-sized companies are complex projects in which all involved must get together perfectly and countless aspects have to be considered and coordinated. It is therefore advisable to commission a general contractor such as SCHOLPP for large projects and company relocations so that there are as little interfaces as possible between the individual steps.
